Savannah was whelped in our kennel RegalWhite Swiss Shepherds (formerly Orchard Grove Shepherds) on the 12th November 2022 from a Hayley x NZ CH Iron von King’s Silbertal mating using freshly harvested semen.

She is one of four puppies and was the smallest of the litter. Savannah has a lovely white and moderately long coat. Whilst she has a rather big mouth and loves the sound of her own voice, she is actually quite a shy dog. In spite of that she will greet strangers with some prolific barking whilst making sure that she keeps her distance.  It does take her a little longer to accept people than what we have experienced with our other dogs, but as she is still a young dog we are hoping that she will outgrow this with time.

Unfortunately she was at the most important stage of her life for socialising when our property was hit by cyclone Gabrielle causing extensive damage to our property with trees being uprooted and fences flattened. This together with the ongoing efforts to clean up over the next few weeks meant that her socialisation was put on hold.

Savannah however has some really good bloodlines in her pedigree, we are hoping to add her to our breeding programme and put her to the test as a brood bitch.  We expect she will be as capable and caring to her own puppies as her Dam Hayley and Great Dam Sahara.
